I'm starting to see more and more rumblings online about the fact that Wii does not support multiple balance boards. I don't quite understand Nintendo's thinking in this regard since, in theory, it should be possible to support two players with boards and wiimotes/nunchucks or four players with boards only. Obviously that's not the case right now, and it's not clear whether this is due to a software or a hardware limitation. My only hope is that it's software and can be fixed with a Wii update because if it's a limitation of the balance board itself then that's a serious design flaw in my opinion.

show youtubeWhat actually got me thinking about this again was watching a Raving Rabbids TV Party demo from Ubidays. One of the highlights was Beestie Boarding where you sit on your ass on the Wii board and steer a wildebeest down a ski slope. Great fun but single player which, for a game like Raving Rabbids, is a bit of a let down since Rabbids is most fun as a multiplayer game. Besides Beestie Boarding there hasn't been much else said about support for the balance board in Raving Rabbids which almost makes it feel like that particular mini-game was added just to capitalise on the hype surrounding the balance board and that the rest of the game doesn't feature it at all. I hope I'm wrong.
