Prizefighter Billed by 2k as part sports simulation, part boxing drama this game takes you both inside and outside the ring and follows you in documentary style from boxing newbie to prizefighting champion. Unique to the Wii version of this game will be a Boxercise Mode that takes advantage of the Wii Balance Board to help you with your daily training regime, allowing you to count calories, set fitness goals and measure success. Unfortunately it seems that actual boxing gameplay will only make use of the Wii Remote and nunchuck controllers.

The game will feature 31 current and legendary boxing champs and includes licensed champs such as Joe Calzaghe, Kelly Pavlik and Andrew Golota. There are also 14 fight gyms and arenas including the legendary Madison Square Garden. Multiplayer support is included letting you go up against opponents on the same machine or online.

Prizefighter for Wii is scheduled for release in the UK June 30th and in the US on September 30th. Until then you can visit the official Prizefighter website for more information and video interviews with the great word mangler himself, Don King.

Don King's Prizefighter is available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
